Targetting the right keywords

There are areas in this world that are just hard to spell correctly.  According to google, on average there are approximately 18100 searches a month for the phrase, 'Caribbean Holidays'. Compare that however to its misspelling, Carribean Holidays which has on average a grand, 22200 searches a month! Furthermore, the phrase 'Caribean Holidays' also receives approximately 1900 searches per month. In this instance that is at least 24100 searches for the misspelt version of caribbean.

Travel companies looking to target new business to their holiday websites need to consider how they are going to pull traffic in using these misspellings without making their sites look unprofessional.

The fastest means is to build a PPC campaigm around misspellings. Amazingly, a lot of advertisers don't think to include a list of misspellings in the keyword list for their site and those who do are reaping fat rewards for their efforts. It is important to be one step ahead of the game and many of your competitors will not yet be thinking about bidding on misspellings.

Caribean Holidays and Carribean Holidays aren't as popular for click-thru when compared with the true spelling, Caribbean Holidays, but they do add more traffic and are cheaper so are definitely worth bidding on if you can't optimise naturally for these terms. Use this strategy en masse to increase your traffic and your profits.

Even though searchers will misspelly keywords, they sometimes will use Googles correction system so that a new set of results appear. However, this is not always the case so make sure your PPC ads have great titles.

I would always suggest using googles adwords tool to find key related terms as in one respect you will find many more terms for your campaigns, but also it should give you ideas for common misspellings of your keyword. The interent is a hive of informtion and tools that can help you with your keyword research. Just do a quick search for 'misspellings tools' and you will find info that will get you loads of keyword misspellings.

So, when doing keyword research, always remember to look for the wrong spellings.

Keywords - Choosing The Right Ones The First Time

Producing a 10,000 Keyword list is very easy for me.  Producing a 10,000 keyword list that actually sells something is a different story.  I've been studying keep word research for the past seven years and have generated many, many keywords for various niche products over the years.  I have used and evaluated many tools yet I continue to use the very basic ones.  Two freebies and one paid membership.

My keyword tools of choice are the Free Google Keyword Tool, Wordtracker and a Free Keyword Tool just released by Brad Callen call PPC Web Spy. There is one more that I use but I will introduce that to you in a later article.

Let me break each of these down for you as to why I like them.

First let's talk about the Google Keyword Tool.  What better place to get quality keywords than from the source itself, Google!  Their tool is accurate and to the point and can generate quite a few quality keywords for your particluar niche.  It is simple to use and will provide you with quality keywords based on a search of your page.  It's hard for Google to give you a poor quality score for a page that they provided the keywords for.

Secondly...Wordtracker.  This site is hands down the industry leader in keywords.  You can build massive lists of keywords from this site.  It will cost you roughly $50 bucks a month but you will get more relevant keywords and the quality will be excellent.  Their site tools offer a lot for performing keyword research as well.

Lastly, I want to recommend Brad Callen's PPC Web Spy.  I just came across this little beauty recently when Brad sent me an email to test it out.  I am really enjoying it and it makes competitive keyword research a breeze.  It takes just seconds to produce an entire keyword list from each competitor on Google for whatever search term you are looking for.  I cannot believe how simple it is.  This tool will revolutionize the way we do keyword research forever.  And...This is a FREE tool.  Yes, I will say it again...PPC Web Spy is FREE!

Hope everyone is well,
